Calculate Your Estimated Due Date

Educational Information

The pregnancy due date is typically calculated by adding 280 days (40 weeks) to the first day of the last menstrual period. This method is known as Naegele's rule and is widely used in obstetrics to estimate delivery dates.

Although the due date provides a useful estimate, only about 5% of babies are born on the exact predicted date. Many factors including hormonal changes, genetics, and maternal health can influence the timing of birth.

According to the World Health Organization, accurate pregnancy dating helps healthcare providers monitor fetal development, schedule prenatal tests, and detect possible complications early.
