The information we collect depends on how you use FemPhases.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the purpose, whether the processing is necessary and the effect on your rights and reasonable expectations.

Transactional messages, such as receipts, access instructions and important service notices, are separate from marketing. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop messages needed to administer a service you use.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Health information and optional tools

You do not need to submit health information to read our general website content.

Where an optional tool needs health information, we request explicit consent separately from acceptance of general terms or subscription to marketing.

The information provided alongside the tool explains its particular purpose and data handling. This includes whether information remains on your device or is sent to FemPhases or a service provider.

We use health information for the purposes explained when it is collected. We do not use the health information you submit to target advertising.

You can withdraw consent using the controls provided with the feature or by emailing hello@femphases.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

If you withdraw consent, we will stop the processing that depends on it. The relevant feature may then be unavailable, and we will delete the information unless a specific lawful reason requires us to retain it. We will explain any applicable exception.

5. Marketing preferences

Where you subscribe, we use your email address to send the newsletters or promotional communications you selected.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in our marketing emails or by contacting hello@femphases.com.

We retain a limited suppression record where necessary to respect your choice and prevent further marketing. We do not use that record to continue sending promotional messages.

Cookie consent, newsletter consent and consent to process health information are separate choices.

6. Who we share information with

We share information only where needed for the purposes described in this policy.

Recipients may include:

We do not retain information indefinitely simply because it may be useful.

Where deletion from backups cannot happen immediately, the information remains protected and is removed through the normal backup replacement cycle. If a backup is restored, relevant deletion instructions must be reapplied.

Information may be retained longer where necessary for a specific legal obligation or ongoing dispute. Where appropriate, we anonymise information so that it can no longer identify you.

9. Security

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information and the risks involved.

These include access restrictions, secure transmission, appropriate service-provider safeguards and procedures for handling security incidents.

No website or online service can guarantee complete security. If you have an account, keep your login details confidential and use a strong, unique password.

Some FemPhases educational content may be relevant to young people.

Where children’s information is processed, we apply the protections required for the relevant service, including age-appropriate explanations and parental authorisation where legally required.

12. Public contributions and external services

If you post a comment or contribute to a public area, other people may be able to see, copy or share it.

Please avoid sharing private health details, contact details or information about someone else without their permission.

Links to external websites lead to services operated by other organisations. Their privacy policies apply to information they collect.

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Where an optional tool provides personalised educational output, we explain the information it uses and the purpose of the output alongside that feature.
