About Us

Why We Exist

Because too many women are left quietly wondering, “Is this normal?”

Maybe you’ve been waking up tired no matter how much sleep you get. Maybe your mood has shifted in ways you can’t quite explain. Maybe something just feels… off, and you’re not sure whether to worry or let it go.

And then you do what so many of us do. You pick up your phone and start searching.

And what you find isn’t always helpful. One article says it’s nothing. The next one says it could be something serious. Within minutes, you feel worse than you did before you started looking.

We think you deserve better than that.

FemPhases was built to bring a little calm to the questions women carry around every day the ones we ask in our heads, late at night, or in passing to a friend who might not have the answers either.

We’re not here to scare you.

What we offer is something simpler: clear, nurse-led guidance that helps you make sense of what your body might be telling you and gently points you toward further support when it matters.
Because when you understand what’s happening, you feel steadier. More like yourself.

Some you expect. Others catch you completely off guard.
There are stretches when you sleep deeply and stretches when sleep feels impossible. Months when your energy carries you through everything and months when just getting to the end of the day takes real effort.
Your body shifts. Your needs shift. Life keeps moving.

FemPhases is here for all of it not just one chapter, but every phase you move through.
We’re here to help you walk into those appointments feeling informed, prepared, and taken seriously. With compassion. With clarity.

One phase at a time.

Founder's Background

Every Great Idea Starts with a Conversation. Ours Started with a Friendship

We're three registered nurses who met while studying at Canterbury Christ Church University, and even though that was many years ago now, we've never really let go of each other. Our careers took us in different directions different wards, different specialisms, different corners of healthcare but the friendship stayed. Through career changes, life changes, late-night phone calls, and everything in between.

Over the years, between us, we've cared for people in hospitals, clinics, community settings, and plenty of kitchen-table conversations too. And no matter where we were working or who we were talking to, we kept hearing the same question come up again and again:

"Is this normal?"

Sometimes it came from a young woman worried about changes in her period. Sometimes from someone who couldn't shake the exhaustion no matter what they tried. Sometimes from a woman deep in perimenopause, wondering when she'd stopped feeling like herself and whether she'd get back there again.

And sometimes it came from the people around her. A partner trying to help but not knowing how. A parent noticing something had shifted. A friend wanting to say the right thing.

What struck us wasn't just how often the question came up. It was what sat behind it every single time: a need for information that was clear, honest, and didn't require a medical degree to make sense of.

That's the conversation that became FemPhases.

What we're here to do

Our mission is straightforward. We want to make reliable health information feel less overwhelming and more human.

FemPhases isn't a medical practice. We don't diagnose, treat, or replace your doctor. What we do is take complex health topics and explain them in plain, compassionate language so that when you do speak to your healthcare professional, you feel informed, prepared, and confident enough to ask the questions that matter to you.

Who this is for

We built FemPhases with women's health at its heart, but we've always wanted the door to be open wider than that.

If you're a partner trying to understand what someone you love is going through, you're welcome here. If you're a parent, a sibling, a friend, a carer or just someone who wants to learn, there's something here for you too.

Because when the people around a woman understand what she's experiencing, everyone benefits.

What we believe

We believe knowledge shouldn't feel intimidating. It should feel like relief.

We believe no question is too small, too awkward, or too "silly" to ask. Some of the most important health conversations start with a question that millions of people are quietly typing into a search engine at two in the morning.

"Is this normal?"

It's a brave question. And it deserves a thoughtful answer.

Our hope for this place

We hope FemPhases becomes a place where you feel understood. Somewhere you can find evidence-informed guidance, practical tools, and real stories from women who get it because they've been there too.

Because understanding your body shouldn't be confusing, and no one should have to figure it all out alone.

Welcome to FemPhases. We're really glad you're here.
